Extra PDH hours during this period cannot be forwarded to the next one. On the next renewal, the licensees will be required to have completed at least a total of 24 PDH units, as follows: A total of 24 PDH units. A minimum of 18 PDH units in Category A programs, including a minimum of 1 PDH unit in content areas related to the standards of practice or care, laws and regulations applicable to the practice of engineering in Maryland, or professional engineering ethics; and A maximum of 6 PDH units in Category B programs. The entire 24 units may be credited in Category A. Category A: Engineering and science topics, laws and rules applicable to practice of engineering in Maryland, ethics in professional engineering, Any program with a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee's field of practice. Course content approval		The course requirements are as follow: A total of 24 PDH hours. A minimum of 18 PDH hours in Category A programs, including a minimum of 1 PDH hours in content areas related to the standards of practice or care, laws and regulations applicable to the practice of engineering in Maryland, or professional engineering ethics; and A maximum of 6 PDH hours in Category B programs. The entire 24 PDH hours may be credited in Category A. Course Contents are divided into Category A and B. Course content approval		Up to 13 PDH should be gained through live interaction with an instructor. Up to 2 PDH should be in Ethics. The rest of the PDH hours should be any program with a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee's field of practice. Subject matter which is technical in nature or addresses professional ethics, codes or other similar topics which facilitate the licensee's professional development as a professional engineer and serves to safeguard life, health and property and promote the public welfare.
No of PDH hours carry over next year		A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried over to the next renewal period.
Online courses		Accepted, there is no limit on credits earned through online courses.
